Adorable little place with fabulous breakfast! The caramel roll was delicious! I also had little piggies (pancakes and sausage) which were quite tasty. Portions are large! Very inexpensive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was served fast! Great place for breakfast in Bismarck!

Went to this little gem with husband and 2 kids while visiting Bismarck. We found this on yelp after being unhappy with our hotel "breakfast buffet". Good food, great service and nicely priced. We all left with full happy tummy's. We also took a Carmel roll to go after hearing someone else get one. And boy am I glad we did! We didn't even eat it till the next morning at our hotel and it was still soft and flaky and delicious. My only experience with Carmel rolls are my mother in laws who hails from North Dakota and I wasn't a huge fan. Well when I'm back in Bismarck next year the little cottage cafe will be on the hit list and we will be taking another Carmel roll to go!

Sometimes you want a bougie breakfast, with fancy plating & you're willing to pay $20 for egg art & another $20 for a good morning cocktail. While sometimes you just want a hole in the wall stop, that makes you question your life choices as you park. A greasy spoon dive with solid food & cheap prices. This is the latter. As a bonus, hands down, they are slinging the best caramel roll ($3.75) that I've ever eaten. We're talking tender, creamy, rich & buttery, don't touch mine, get your own deliciousness. You pull into a nightmare of a parking lot, with cars strewn about haphazardly. You try not to twist your ankle as you dodge potholes & pitfalls on your way to the awning that says "now opened for inside seating," a plus, since there's no outside seating. It's sketchy & you second guess yourself, but the parking lot is full, so, you open the door and squeeze your way in. The inside is a small L-shaped dining area, with counter seating on one side, with every seat occupied or recently vacated. Someone shouts from behind the counter, "how many do you have?" I respond with "2" & get verbal directions to a recently vacated table. (They walked out as we walked in.) It's cleaned quickly, and we're given menus with items starting at $3.75 & you'll slide in around $20 if you go for the works... I'm talking sweet treat (did I mention the caramel roll?), coffee, large juice, & the big breakfast option, where the average person will be taking half home. Bonus points: You can sub 1 pancake or 1 slice of French toast for your toast on the breakfast meals with no extra charge. They also top the coffee faster than you can drink it, taking turns on rounds. Our hashbrowns were crisp, the scrambled eggs not my favorite but as expected, pancakes big & fluffy, coffee was decent, mushrooms canned but otherwise the hubs was happy with his hamburger steak & they sell this caramel roll, not sure if I mentioned it

This place is just good home cooking breakfast food. I can't really complain because I love breakfast food and it's actually really good. We ordered the Denver omelette and traditional 2 eggs, bacon, hash brown and toast. Was satisfying and left full. Our service was awesome. We were definitely attended to, despite how crazy busy it was in the this only little restaurant. Our server was awesome. We ordered a caramel roll to go and ate it later in the day, and oh my goodness was it the best one we had. Other restaurants throughout Bis Man sell Carmel rolls, but this place definitely took the cake. We ate it so fast, we forgot to share a pic. Overall, this is one of those places we definitely would stop by again when we are in the area.
